I definitely appreciate the whimsy in this piece. It also shows that you understand the geometric shapes that make up your still life. My problem with it lies in the technique and overall usage of the picture plane. The drawing distinctly lacks visual interest and it doesn't do your whimsical vision justice at all. It's an easy enough fix: all I think you should do is take further advantage of the grayscale. Use a wider range of values. It will even help show how the rear wing recedes into space. Also, you may want to reconsider how you crop the image. It has a great impact on where the focal point of the drawing is. Anyway, I like what you've done with your idea. The balloon is adorable.
